BACKGROUND
In Tanzania, secondary School science students find it difficult to visualize and connect the theories which are taught in classeswith actual activities done in real environment. Even when the students come out to the street environment to find the opportunity to interact with actual staffs demonstrating the theories learnt in the class, the environment doesn’t favor girls to benefit from it.
The tools are portable hardware electronic devices in the wooden case that can be used by a teacher/student to connect actual physics components and demonstrate a theory in real world. It has a sticker on it which labels all the needed components to be inserted or connected on the device to complete a designed demonstration. The product is power efficient, operated with only 9v battery and some having LED digital meter display. It has a small draw to store the components to be used during demonstration. With a user guide book having described set ups for sample demonstrations, the product is simple to use for even with students under minimum supervision at school or home.
These tools have different features to make them the best for the demonstration task;
v They involve up to date measurement technology (digital meters).
v They consists simplified plug and play connections with labels.
v They use actual up to date industry components for demonstration of the theories.
v Are contained in a durable and long lasting housing.
v Powered by low voltage (9V battery).
